Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze
October 24, 12:30-2:30 p.m.- Come go to the Pumpkin Patch with us! Ticket includes fire pit, pumpkin, all games, hay ride, corn maze, and dairy demonstration. Bring your own hot dogs or picnic lunch, s'mores fixings, and drinks. Water will be available. Students and children are $5 each, if we have 20 or more. Parents and children under 2 are free but do not receive a pumpkin. RSVP HERE to Sheryl Crain so they can plan for your family.
Doors
Please do not prop any of the outside doors open. There should be someone to open the door for you to let you back in, except for during announcements. The church has asked us to avoid propping them open. It is not only a security issue, but an animal issue. Critters tend to find their way into the building. If the door to the playground is locked, you may use the skeleton key hanging on the doorpost to unlock the door or find a leadership team member to unlock it for you.Getting to Classes
We know that it is not always easy to get out of one class and into another on time. Let's help each other out. When teaching, please pay attention to the time. It is important to end our classes on time, so that everyone in your room can get to their next class. It is a crazy domino effect when one class is late getting out. Also, if you are headed to a preschool class, please try to get there quickly. The parents working in those rooms can't leave many times because they are holding children until the next hour teacher or assistant gets there.7th-12th grade Teachers
Please keep your class in their classroom until the end of the class period, even at the end of the day. Kids tend to be loud in the halls and want to look in at the other classes. We want to be respectful of all of the classes that are still teaching.Reminders
Remember that we need all kids at co-op to have their parent with them. Please do not bring extra children to co-op or send your kids with someone else.You All Should Be Proud
You all have GOOD kids! It is really fun to watch your kids taking care of each other, helping each other out, and including each other. This past Monday, at the high school retreat, we took the kids to Leadership Ranch. The facilitators were bragging on your kids. They were saying things like, "Hands down, best group ever," "Keep doing whatever you are doing with these kids," "This is a great group." That is fun to hear! It is especially encouraging to hear since sometimes, in the day to day school routine, we can get caught up in our own frustrations with our children and forget the big picture. This experience was a good reminder that each of our kids is unique and special, just the way God intended. They are growing more and more like Him, and are in the process of learning how to be Jesus's hands and feet in the world around them.
